FLINT POWER SYSTEMS' WARRANTY STATEMENT
Warranty Scope and Coverage:
This warranty applies to the engine manufactured by John Deere and all integral components installed on the engine by Flint Power Systems.
Subject to the exclusions set out below, all parts deemed defective in materials and/or workmanship will be repaired or replaced without charge for parts or labor during the first twelve months of the warranty period. Charges for labor will not be covered during the second twelve months of the warranty period, if applicable.
Duration:
Unless otherwise specified in writing by Flint Power Systems provides the following warranty:
• 12 months, unlimited hours of use
OR
• 24 months or the accumulation of 2000 hours of use, whichever is met first
*In the absence of a functional hour meter, or in the event the hour meter indicator has been tampered with, hours will be determined based on 12 hours of usage per day from the date of invoice by Flint Power Systems.
Obtaining Warranty Service:
Warranty service must be obtained through the nearest authorized Flint Power Systems dealer prior to the expiration of the warranty period.
A listing of Flint Power Systems dealers may be obtained by contacting our Warranty Administrator.
Flint Power Systems dealers will be reimbursed for limited travel expenses incurred in performing warranty service on Flint Power Systems products when travel is actually performed. Charges for travel are limited to $0.75 per mile plus dealer hourly labor rate, up to a $400.00 maximum for OEM units and $500.00 maximum on marine engines. Any charges exceeding the travel allowance are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Labor will be reimbursed to the dealer in an amount that does not exceed the approved John Deere flat rate for the service performed. Any charges exceeding the approved John Deere flat rate amount are the responsibility of the purchaser.
Warranty Exclusions:
Flint Power Systems’ obligation for warranty does not apply to components or accessories which are not installed by Flint Power Systems, or to components with a specified manufacturer’s warranty (e.g., pumps, generators, transmissions). Normal wear items such as belts, hoses and filters are not covered by Flint Power Systems. Warranty service will be denied for misuse, negligence or improper application. Radiator damage resulting from vibration due to improper application or operating conditions will not be eligible for warranty service. In no case shall John Deere Power Systems or Flint Power Systems be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages based upon any legal theory.
